I saw this easy recipe for a kid’s treat on Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom, and decided to make it with my girls. I did make a few changes. One of my daughters is on a gluten free diet, so I used gluten free pretzels and added sprinkles to give them a little holiday flair. This is the perfect thing to make with kids. There are many opportunities for them to help and it’s pretty hard to mess up.

You will need:
- Small pretzels
- Hershey’s Hugs
- Sprinkles (not shown below)
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.
This is where the kids come in. I had my girls peel the wrappers off the Hugs. Can you believe not a single Hug was eaten when they were doing this. I don’t think I could have shown that much restraint! I did give them a Hug afterward for doing such a great job.
Lay out some pretzels on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Place one Hug in the middle of each pretzel.
Pop them in the oven for 2 minutes. Really, just 2 minutes. Any longer and you will have a chocolatey, melty mess.
When you take them out of the oven, the Hugs will look mostly the same, but don’t worry, they are softened. Have an adult do the next part. Place another pretzel on top and squish down. Next, add some fun sprinkles. I refrigerated these for 20 minutes so the hugs could harden.
