I love to get a soft pretzel when I go to a sporting event. They are warm and salty and often sprinkled liberally with salt. Well being on the Weight Watchers program doesn't mean I have to give up snacks like soft pretzels. You may have heard me raving here about 2 Ingredient Dough which I have used to make everything from bagels to pizza dough. Today I am sharing how to make these quick 2 Ingredient Dough Pretzels using that same dough recipe. So grab a cold beverage and sit right back and enjoy a guilt free warm pretzel. These pretzels are only 3 points! Be sure to also check out these Cheesy Biscuits with Two Ingredient Dough and these 2 Ingredient Dough Pretzel Bites.

2 Ingredient Dough Pretzels - Weight Watchers friendly! This soft pretzel recipe is easy to make and will allow you to enjoy a pretzel with no guilt. Squeeze on some mustard and enjoy! #Weightwatchers #2ingredientdough #freestylerecipe

2 Ingredient Dough Pretzels - Weight Watchers

The secret to these self rising flour pretzels is fat free Greek yogurt. Fat free Greek yogurt is 0 points on the Weight Watchers Freestyle plan and is one of the main ingredients in these pretzels. The crazy thing is that you cannot taste the yogurt at all in these pretzels. My favorite yogurt to use is Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt.

2 Ingredient Dough Pretzels - Weight Watchers

This greek yogurt pretzels recipe uses self rising flour which you can buy pre-made or make yourself. I share an easy self rising flour recipe here. This allows you to make these pretzels with no yeast and not having to wait for the dough to rise.

To make 2 homemade pretzels, combine ½ cup of self rising flour and ½ cup of Fage Total 0% Greek Yogurt in a bowl until a dough starts to form. If you just want to make 4 pretzels, just double the ingredients.

Knead the dough on a floured surface and divide into two equal parts. You will want to make sure that the two pieces of dough are of equal weight. This scale really comes in handy.

Roll each piece of dough into a 12-14 inch rope.

    Form into a pretzel shape.

Beat an egg and brush it over the pretzels and sprinkle on coarse sea salt.

2 Ingredient Dough Pretzels - Weight Watchers

Bake and enjoy! I love these nonfat Greek yogurt pretzels while they are still somewhat warm with some spicy brown mustard. My kids like them as is - lightly warm and salted. If you are looking for a more traditional pretzel recipe which will be way higher in points check out this Soft Pretzels Recipe.

2 Ingredient Dough Pretzels - Weight Watchers

Each soft pretzel is 3 Weight Watchers points on the Freestyle plan.

I have what might be a dumb question. Do you take the pretzels out of the oven at 22 min, get the oven up to 550 degrees, then put the pretzels back in? It doesn't make sense to leave them in the oven while it gets hotter but I wanted to make sure.

I kind of had the same question, but I imagine cranking it up to broil for 2 additional minutes would acheive the desired effect??

It does for me, but I do have to set a timer because if I forget them at that temp, they get ruined.

Thanks. Baking now and wondering for the temperature change do you remove from oven and wait until 550 after 22 minutes? Or crank it up at about 18 minutes and keep all in oven?

    5. Evelyn Jepson

      February 21, 2018 at 10:38 am

I think it means that the normal thing is at 350 for 22 minutes; if you can't wait that long, then crank it up to 550 for 2 minutes.

I made these and they are good. One question, I made several and put in a ziplock. The salt evaporated! They were salty enough when you ate them but the grains of salt dissipated. Any thoughts on how to store

I step these up a notch by boiling the pretels in baking soda water prior to baking. That gives them the nice brown later with the tang of a true baked pretzel.

Anyone ever figure this out, because I came to the comments for the same question?

Tough to say, 2 ingredients and 2 (on)gredients. Not sure if any of this recipe can be trusted. My advice would be to preheat your second oven to 550 degrees and remove these from the first oven at the temperature of 350 degrees at the 22 minute mark and then transfer them to the 550 degree oven.

I was wondering about this. Every pretzel recipe I’ve ever tried uses a baking soda bath. I wasn’t sure if, because this was two ingredient dough, that they might fall apart. Thanks for the tip!

I’ve made these in my air fryer 350 degrees 23 minutes and they are just like a regular bagel a little toasty on the outside and real soft on the inside. I think if they were placed in 550 degrees you would really need to watch them so that the outside don’t dry out too much?

These turned out good. Not so much “pretzel” flavor and I added a 1/4 tsp baking powder for extra “puff”. Everything but the Bagel seasoning added more flavor. Light and airy, eat ‘me while warm and I took someone’s suggestion and added melted butter to the egg wash.
