When I think about the craft supplies we constantly restock at our place, glue is at the top of the list. What I love about glue is it’s versatility. The same item that can help kids create art can also be used to make fun sensory products, like gak. Well, gak is probably fun for lots of kids. We made some once and the kids were not big fans of how it felt. So we stick to more artsy uses for glue. Here are some of our favorite projects using this sticky substance. Click on the link to get to the post.

Make black glue

Use some black paint to turn glue black and make your own stained glass pictures. When the black glue dries you can use watercolors to paint the rest of the picture.

Dripping Salt Painting

Use glue, salt and food coloring to create pretty textured pictures.

Straw Art

Use colorful straws and glue to make art.

Paper Bag Donkey

With some glue, a paper bag, and a few other supplies you can create this cute donkey.

Layered Foam Snowflakes

All you need is some glue and glitter to turn these foam snowflakes into something special.

What are your favorite things to do with glue? We are always looking for new ideas!
