Are you a coffee lover like me? Being from the East Coast, my favorite place to grab a great cup of coffee was Dunkin' Donuts. Since moving to Northern California I have been looking for a Dunkin' Donuts store with no luck. There are plans to open some within in the near future, but I can't wait that long, so I was thrilled to discover that I can find Dunkin' Donuts Coffee K-Cup® Pods in the coffee aisle of my grocery store! Happy days are here! Now before you get too excited and use up all your K-Cups, give some to your kids so they can try these fun K-Cup Activities for kids.

K-Cup Activities for Kids - Lots of ways to play and learn with K-Cups! Dunkin' Donuts K-Cups are delicious for adults and fun for kids. #sponsored

There are so many fun ways to play and learn with K-Cups. All of these activities require K-Cups before they have been used so just give them to your kids out of the package. Make sure your child is old enough to understand that they will not be opening them or poking holes in the them.

A fun an open ended play activity is to provide your child with a bunch of K-Cups and see what they do. My daughter started building and stacking with them. She also used them to make shape outlines such as a circle and a heart.

Challenge your child to see how high they can stack up the K-Cups. Can they stack more with the K-Cups upside down or right side up?

For this next activity you will need ten K-Cups and ten colorful dot stickers. Write the numbers 1-10 on the stickers and place them on the sides of the K-Cups. Once you do that, you can have your child stack the cups in order either from 1-10 or from 10-1. Please be sure to remove all stickers before you use the K-Cups. They come off very easily!

This is a great way to practice and review counting. Plus stacking the K-Cups is just plain fun. It was challenging even for me!

Before you start this next activity peel the number stickers off the side of K-Cups. You will be using plain colored dot stickers for this activity. You will need nine K-Cups and nine stickers (three different colors). I used three pink, three yellow and three blue stickers. Place one sticker on the bottom of each cup so that you have three of each color. Now kids can make patterns by lining up the K-Cups. You can vary the types of patterns they make by placing stickers on more K-Cups.

Another fun activity that we did with our Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee K-Cup® Pods was a variation on an old fashioned shell game. I placed a colored dot sticker on the top of one of three K-Cups and showed them to my daughter. Then I turned all the cups over and mixed them up quickly.

My daughter had to keep her eye on the one that she knew had the pink sticker. She was thrilled when she picked the right cup. She also wanted to try her hand at mixing up the cups and I must admit she fooled me a few times.

After doing all these Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® Pod activities, I really needed a cup of coffee! Luckily, I had a lot of Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® flavors to pick from. With so many delicious varieties, it was tough to choose. Did I want Original Blend, Dunkin' Decaf, French Vanilla, Hazelnut or the delectable Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series® Chocolate Glazed Donut flavor?

I love flavored coffee, so I narrowed it down to these flavors. Which would you pick?

In the end, I went with French Vanilla and I was not disappointed. It is a great way to start off your morning and goes perfectly with a croissant. You would swear you got this cup of coffee at a Dunkin' Donuts store, but making it at home is so much easier. No fixing your hair, getting out of your pajamas or driving anywhere. You don't have to measure or deal with a filter. All you do is pop the Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup®pod in your Keurig brewer and in a few minutes you'll be enjoying a flavorful cup of coffee just like they make at Dunkin' Donuts.
