My Best Clothing Packing Tip

Do you have a trip coming up? Maybe an end of summer trip before school starts? We do! We are surprising the kids with a trip to Disneyland. I am excited about most aspects of the trip, minus the 6 hour drive and packing. Packing for a trip when you have kids can be stressful and time consuming. In attempt to make my life easier, I have come up with an easy clothing packing tip that helps us travel light and keep things simple. This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Gildan. The opinions and text are all mine.

My BEST Clothing Packing Tip - Don't want to pay for extra bags on that trip. Here is my best tip for traveling light. #GildanFavorites #ad

So what is my best clothing packing tip? Pack less. That’s it! How many times have you gone a trip and over packed and not worn clothes you brought along? That has happened to me more times than I can count. Now I just pack less. This can be done when you pack clothes that can do double duty and are versatile. Obviously, where you travel will have some bearing on what you pack. If you are heading to a theme park like we are, you don’t need to pack anything too fancy. Each family member brings one pair of shoes, the one that they have on their feet. I make sure we are all in comfortable sneakers to avoid complaining and foot problems.

I pack a few t-shirts for each family member and some hoodies that can be stored during the day and brought out at night. I pack less clothes than the number of days we are there and will usually do a load of laundry on the trip. Since we have five people in our family, we often stay in suite hotels that have a small washer and dryer in the room. If they don’t, most hotels have a washer or dryer. Of course, no one wants to spend time on their vacation doing laundry, but if you are flying and have baggage restrictions and fees you are facing, it is a great option.

I make sure to pack some quality active wear like Gildan. You probably have some Gildan in your closet already. They are the world’s largest supplier of t-shirts with over 500 million annually. They are also the largest sock manufacturer producing over 600 million annually. Chances are your feet are feeling comfy right now in some Gildan socks. You can feel good knowing that Gildan purchases 100% grown and harvested USA Cotton to make their clothing.

If you are heading to a theme park as we are, you know it can be an all day affair. The mornings can start off chilly while the afternoons are hot and the evenings are cool. I find it best to pack layers for these kinds of trips.

Gildan makes activeweaar, t-shirts, underwear and socks for the whole family. Their hoodies are not only stylish and comfortable, (my girls are big fans of the pink ones) but they are functional as well. Since vacations can cost so much money, I am all about saving where I can. Gildan items have the quality and duribility you’d expect at affordable prices.

Have you heard about the Gildan Hometown Favorites Sweepstakes? Gildan will send one lucky winner and a guest of their choice on a trip to one of 5 fan-favorite cities (Nashville, Las Vegas, New York, Miami, LA).
