I had the opportunity to create a Raspberry Smoothie and Raspberry Salad Dressing as a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.
I took a child free shopping trip to Lucky Supermarket recently. I had almost forgotten the joy of a child free shopping trip. I was so efficient! I read labels. It was a new experience for me. While I was there, I picked up Organic Girl Salad and raspberries to make Raspberry Dressing and
Raspberry Smoothies to promote heart health.
Heart health is important to me because heart disease is a health issue that is so prevalent among women. I want to be around as long as possible for my kids and even small dietary changes can make a difference. I can’t think of a tastier way to take care of my heart than by eating nutritious food such as raspberries and Organic Girl salads.
To make the raspberry salad dressing you will need:
- 3/4 cup of raspberries
- 1/8 balsamic vinegar
- 1/8 apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 1/2 teaspoons sugar
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until mixed.
Pour over an Organic Girl Spring mix or you favorite salad. If you have any dressing leftover, you can refrigerate it for up to two days and shake it before serving. I have always bought bottled dressing because I had no idea how easy it was to make my own. It took less than 5 minutes to make a fresh tasting dressing using seasonal ingredients.
We had some raspberries leftover from our trip to Lucky Supermarket so I decided to make some heart healthy smoothies for the kids to enjoy at snack time. I love smoothies because they are so easy to make and change up depending on the ingredients you have available.
To make our raspberry smoothies we used:
- 1/2 cup of raspberries
- 1 banana
- 3/4 cup of orange juice
- 1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt
You could also throw in whatever fruits you have on hand. That is the beauty of a smoothie. It’s pretty hard to go wrong. Place all the ingredients in a blender and mix until all the fruit is blended. This will make about 2 cups of smoothie.
Serve and enjoy. Here’s to your health – your Heart Health!
