Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, cream the butter with the white and brown sugars.
Beat in eggs and vanilla until thoroughly blended.
In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients until blended.
Add oats,apples and almonds.
Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart onto parchment lined cookie sheets.
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes at 350 degrees.
Remove from oven and cool on wire rack.
