Strawberry Dump Cake in the Instant Pot

This dump cake could not be easier to make. Serve with vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert.

  • 1 can 21 oz strawberry filling
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries stem and hull removed
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 stick butter cut into slices
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 carton Vanilla ice cream


  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup melted butter 1 stick, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar


  1. In the bowl you will be using in your Instant Pot, add strawberry pie filling, vanilla extract, and chopped strawberries. Spread evenly.
  2. Pour the cake mix on top of the strawberry pie mixture.
  3. Slice the butter and place on top of the cake mix.

  4. Cover the bowl in foil.
  5. Place the trivet in the Instant Pot and place the bowl on top of the trivet in the pot.

  6. Set the Instant Pot to manual high pressure for 10 minutes.

  7. Slow release for 10 minutes and remove the cover and carefully remove bowl from Instant Pot.

  9. Place the butter in the saucepan.
  10. Cook until melted on medium heat
  11. Add all other ingredients.
  12. Remove from heat.
  13. Stir until combined.
  14. Place on top of dump cake.
  15. Set oven to broil on high.
  16. Place your dump cake in the oven for 5 minutes.
  17. Spoon onto plates and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
