  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x8 or 9x9 casserole pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Cut bread into cubes or tear into small pieces and place in a large bowl. Set aside.
  • Beat eggs and add milk, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup. Mix to combine.
  • Pour egg mixture over the bread cubes in the bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.
  • Scoop bread and any remaining liquid from bowl into greased casserole pan.
  • Sprinkle the sugar on top of the casserole.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and dust with confectioner's sugar. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup on top.
