Ingredients

Instructions

  • Heat 3 cups of oil over medium high heat.
  • Place a cooling rack on a baking sheet. (Line this with a paper towel or parchment paper to make clean up easier!)
  • Roll a sheet of puff pastry out so it is a little thinner than it comes from the package.
  • With a donut cutter, or a mason jar lid, cut out rounds of pastry dough.
  • Using a water bottle lid, cut small holes in the center of each donut.
  • Drop the donuts one at a time into the hot oil.
  • It should only take about 30 seconds per side to cook, flip the donuts when they look perfectly golden brown. Don’t forget to fry the donut holes too. They will cook faster, so be prepared to drop them in, wait 20 seconds and pull them out with a slotted spoon.
  • Pull from the oil and allow to cool on the wire cooling rack.
  • After about 5 minutes of cooling, sprinkle powdered sugar over the donuts and enjoy immediately!
