Maple French Toast Casserole

This Maple French Toast Casserole can be made the night before and baked in the morning. The easy and delcious way to make french toast.

  • 6 cups bread cubes Day old bread works best. I used a baguette.
  • 4 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • confectioner's sugar for dusting


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8x8 or 9x9 casserole pan with nonstick cooking spray.

  2. Cut bread into cubes or tear into small pieces and place in a large bowl. Set aside.

  3. Beat eggs and add milk, vanilla, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and maple syrup. Mix to combine.

  4. Pour egg mixture over the bread cubes in the bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes.

  5. Scoop bread and any remaining liquid from bowl into greased casserole pan.

  6. Sprinkle the sugar on top of the casserole.

  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

  8. Remove from oven and dust with confectioner's sugar. Serve with a drizzle of maple syrup on top.
