Instructions

  • You will need two paper towel tubes for this activity. Leave one as is and squeeze the end of the other so it forms a petal shape.
  • Squirt some glue onto a tray. Pick up the round tube and dip it into the glue and stamp it on the construction paper.
  • Apply the stamp in the upper middle section of the construction paper. You will want to leave room for a stem.
  • Pick a color of glitter and sprinkle over the glue. Shake off the excess glitter onto another piece of paper or a paper plate.
  • Dip the petal-shaped tube in glue and apply it on paper to make the flower petals. Then sprinkle the glue on the petals. Shake off the glitter.
  • When you are done making the glitter flowers, you can add a stem made from green tissue paper. We just used some green tissue paper for this step. Measure how much tissue paper you will need to go from the flower to the bottom of the paper. Bunch up the tissue paper and glue it to the construction paper. You can also glue on two tissue paper stem petals.

Notes

  • We glued and glittered one petal at a time since my daughter wanted multi-colored petals. If you want all your petals to be the same color then the process will be easier as you can stamp the glue for all the petals and then just add the glitter all at once.
  • You can add some tissue paper grass to the bottom of the paper.
