Bubble Wrap Stomp Painting

Kids can jump and stomp as they create a masterpiece with bubble wrap stomp painting! A fun way for kids to move their bodies and create art.

Materials

  • Tempera paint
  • Easel paper
  • Paintbrush
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Bubble wrap
  • Paper plate

Instructions

  • To prepare your painting area unroll two, or if space allows, three lengths of easel paper side by side on the floor, providing ample room for your child to jump and paint. Carefully cut the paper to fit as needed and secure it in place with tape.
  • Squirt your chosen paints onto a paper plate.
  • Cut a piece of bubble wrap large enough to cover the bottom of your child’s foot. Secure it snugly with a bit of tape to avoid slipping.
  • Using a paintbrush coat the bubble-wrapped foot with paint.
  • Have your child walk and stomp onto the easel paper leaving colorful, footprints.

Notes

  • Feel free to pause and refresh the paint on the bubble wrap shoes as needed throughout this activity. 
  • For a mess-free experience, consider taking this fun activity outside.
