Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup cottage cheese full fat
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Set your oven to 375°F. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a light coating of oil.
  • Place the cottage cheese in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, mix self-rising flour with cottage cheese until you have a soft dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface, adding more flour if sticky.
  • Split the dough into four equal parts. Roll each piece into a rope shape then connect the ends to make a bagel shape. Place the bagels on your prepared baking sheet.
  • Beat the egg in a small bowl. Brush the tops of the bagels with the egg wash.
  • Generously sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on each bagel, making sure they’re fully covered.
  • Bake the bagels in the oven for about 20-25 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
  • Let the bagels cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.

  • If the dough is too sticky, lightly sprinkle some flour on your hands.
  • Don't skip the egg wash; it helps the seasoning to stick and gives the bagels a beautiful color.
  • Allow the bagels to cool on a wire rack to prevent their bottoms from becoming soggy.
