St. Patrick's Day Activity with Straws
St. Patrick's Day Straw Art Activity - Decorate a shamrock by stamping with a straw.
Materials
- Large milkshake straw
- Green paint
- Small cup for paint
- Shamrock printable Get the link for the free printable link in FAQ
- Scissors
- Glue
- 12x18 sheet of construction paper Green or color of your choosing.
Instructions
- Print out the shamrock template or draw one freehand.
- Pour green paint into a small cup. Have your child dip the end of the straw into the green paint and stamp it onto the shamrock to make a small circle.
- When the paint dries, cut out the shamrocks and glue them on construction paper. Older kids can cut out the shamrocks themselves, younger kids need help.

Notes
- Practice straw stamping on scrap paper first to get the hang of making clean circles. Try green construction paper for the background, but white paper makes the shamrocks stand out even more.
