Valentine Votive Candle Holders
These tissue paper heart votives make great gifts for teachers or loved ones. They are easy to make and are perfect for Valentine's Day.
Materials
- Glass votive candle holder
- Red and pink tissue paper
- Mod Podge
- Brush
- Votive candle
Instructions
- Cut some small hearts out of red and pink tissue paper. I just folded the tissue paper in half and cut out half a heart. I cut various-sized small hearts.
- To attach tissue paper hearts to glass votives, paint the Mod Podge onto the glass and stick the tissue paper heart on top.
- Press the tissue paper heart onto the Mod Podge and smooth it out so there are as few wrinkles as possible.
- After you have stuck on the hearts and they have dried and are adhered to the glass, paint over them again with another thin layer of Mod Podge.
- As the Mod Podge dries, it will turn from white to clear.

Make sure not to cut the tissue paper hearts bigger than the size of your glass votive.
