Instructions

  • Season both sides of each pork chop with your seasoned salt blend.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add the pork chops and cook each side for about 3 minutes. Set aside.
  • Grab your apples and use an apple slicer to core and slice them up.
  • Using the same skillet, add the last tablespoon of butter. Once melted, toss in the apple slices and let them cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour in a quarter of a jar of apple butter, along with some brown sugar and a dash of chili powder. Stir everything together until it’s well mixed.
  • Add the cream and continue to stir. Bring to a light boil.
  • Add the pork chops to the bottom of the skillet, making sure each chop gets a generous spoonful of the apple butter mixture on top. Let them cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Serve the pork chops hot with the apple mixture spooned over the pork.

Notes

  • If you're in a rush, grab some store-bought apple butter—it's perfectly fine! But if you have a little extra time, homemade can really make it feel special.
  • Tossing on some fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary takes this dish up a notch.
