This Apple Pie Fried Wonton Recipe is an incredibly easy dessert that you can make in minutes. A wonton wrapper is filled with warm, gooey, perfectly spiced apples. It is then fried until crisp and dusted with powdered sugar.
Place a wonton wrapper on a flat surface. Scoop a tablespoon of apple pie filling into the center of the wonton.
Dip your finger in water and wet the edges of the wrapper.
Fold the wonton wrapper in half to make a triangle. Press the edges to seal making sure to keep the filling centered in the wrapper.
In a deep fryer, heat the oil over until it reaches 350°F. If you don't have a kitchen thermometer, you can drop a small piece of wonton wrapper into the oil. If it sizzles, the oil is ready.
Using a slotted spoon with a long handle, carefully add a few wontons to the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden and and crisp.
Carefully remove the fried wontons with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain.
Sprinkle the wontons with powdered sugar.
