Get in the Halloween spirit with these easy Candy Corn Cookies. You only need 5 ingredients and 15 minutes to make these soft cookies thanks to the shortcut of using cake mix!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add the cake mix, canola oil, eggs, and a few drops of yellow food coloring (if desired) to a large bowl. Mix to incorporate all the ingredients.
Using a cookie scoop, drop dough onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Place the cookie dough a few inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.
When you remove the cookies from the oven, carefully push 3 candy corn candies into each cookie. You will want to do this before the cookies have a chance to firm up. Place the cookies on a cooling rack to cool.

Be sure to push the candy corn deep enough into the cookies just out of the oven so they will not fall out when the cookie hardens.
Do not over-mix the dough, as this makes the cookies tough.
