Ingredient For Candy Corn Cookies
- Cake mix - Takes the place of all-purpose flour and sugar. Use yellow or white cake mix. You can add some yellow or orange food coloring if you use white cake mix.
- Eggs - Provide structure to the cookies and help them keep their shape. I used 2 large eggs.
- Canola Oil - You can also use vegetable oil.
- Yellow Food Coloring - If you want your cookies to have more of a Halloween look, you can add yellow or orange food coloring to create yellow dough or orange dough.
- Candy Corn - You will use these to top the cookies. They add a different texture and make the cookies just pop!

How To Make Candy Corn Cookies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add the cake mix, canola oil, eggs, and a few drops of yellow food coloring (if desired) to a large mixing bowl. Mix to incorporate all the ingredients.

Using a cookie scoop, drop cookie dough balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the cookie dough a few inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees.

When you remove the cookies from the oven, carefully push 3 candy corn candies into each cookie. You will want to do this before the cookies can firm up. Place the cookies on wire racks to cool.

Once the cookies have cooled, the candy corn will be embedded in the top of the cookies and they won't fall out.

These are the perfect festive cookies for Halloween or Fall!

Tips For Making Candy Corn Cookies With Cake Mix
Tip 1: Make sure to push the candy corn deep enough into the still-warm cookie so that it will not fall out when the cookie hardens.
Tip 2: Take care not to over-mix the dough as this will result in tough cookies.
