Ingredients
  

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix 15.25 oz
  • 42 oz cans cherry pie filling 2 cans of 21 oz each
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions
 

  •  Pour the cherry pie filling evenly into the bottom of the crockpot.
  • Evenly sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix over the cherry pie filling.
  • Place the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl and heat for 30 to 60 seconds or until completely melted.
  • Pour the melted butter evenly over the layer of cake mix, making sure to cover as much of the surface as possible.
  • Set the crockpot to high and cook for approximately 2 hours.
  • Serve the cake warm, topped with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream

  • You can make this in the oven in you don't have a crock pot. Follow the same instructions, but use a 9x13 inch baking dish instead. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
