  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add red velvet cake mix, thawed whipped topping, and egg to a large bowl. Stir until combined and a dough has formed.
  • Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough balls and drop into a bowl filled with powdered sugar. Roll the cookie dough in the powdered suagr until fully covered.
  • Drop the cookie onto a parchment covered cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for 8-10 minutes, until the cookies are done around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then lift cookies with a spatula, and transfer to a cooling rack.

Notes

  • Mix dough until just combined. If the dough is over-mixed it can cause the cookies to have a tough texture.
  • For some fun variety, try to white chocolate chips or a sprinkle of sea salt to these cookies.
