This pesto butter recipe is easy to make (I even made it with my kids!) and the pesto gives it a wonderful nutty flavor. Make this to liven up ordinary bread!
Pour one cup of heavy cream into your container along with the salt if you would like salted butter.
Shake the container for 10-12 minutes.
When the liquid starts to sound like a solid in the container, open up the container and pour out the excess liquid.
Place cover back on and shake for a few more minutes until the butter comes together.
Add a tablespoon of pesto sauce to the butter and stir.

Notes
You can leave out the salt if you prefer unsalted butter. You can add more pesto if you want for a deeper green color and more pesto flavor. I find that a tablespoon adds the perfect amount of flavor.
