  • Heat up a skillet over medium-high heat and toss in some oil. Once the oil is hot, add the beef and sear it for about a minute on each side until it's nicely browned all over. Set it aside.
  • Chop the potatoes and carrots into 1-inch chunks, peeling them if you want. Set those aside.
  • While the beef is searing, throw the beef cubes into hot water and let them dissolve, giving them a stir if needed.
  • Add the carrots and potatoes to the slow cooker, then place the seared beef on top, and sprinkle on your favorite spices.
  • Pour in the garlic and beef broth, cover it up, and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • When it’s done, carefully take the beef out of the slow cooker and chop or shred it into 4-6 pieces.
  • Drain the juices and whisk in some cornstarch until the gravy thickens. If it gets too thick, feel free to add a splash of water.
  • Serve it all up on a plate with veggies and gravy. Enjoy!
