- Marshmallows - I use regular-sized marshmallows because they're easier for kids to handle, and they roast evenly, should you choose to cook these like traditional s'mores.
- Sea salt caramels - These add the perfect sweet and salty combo that makes the apple flavor pop.
- Hershey's chocolate candy bar - Classic milk chocolate works best.
- Granny Smith apple - The tartness balances the sweetness of the chocolate and caramel.
- Graham crackers - For that authentic s'mores crunch.

Kitchen Tools For S'mores Cups

How To Make Quick Caramel Apple S'mores Treats
1.Start with the cracker: Slide a graham cracker piece into the back of each cup.

2. Add the chocolate layer: Break the Hershey's bar into thirds and put one piece in each cup right in front of the graham cracker.
3. Prep your skewers: This is where it gets fun. Thread two caramels onto one bamboo pick, two marshmallows on another, and a slice of apple on the third. I like to make the apple slices about quarter-inch thick so they're easy to bite through.
4. Assemble and serve: Place all three skewers into each cup and you're done. The best part is that everyone can roast their own marshmallows over a candle or small flame if they want that authentic s'mores experience.

Tips For 15-Minute Caramel Apple S'mores Cups
Tip 1: Slice your apples right before serving so they don't turn brown. If you need to prep ahead, brush them with a little lemon juice.
Tip 2: Warm the caramels slightly in your hands before threading them onto the picks. This makes them easier to work with.
Tip 3: Use cups that are wide enough to hold all three skewers without crowding.
FAQs For Caramel Apple S'mores Treats
These are really best enjoyed fresh. Assembled cups can sit at room temperature for a few hours, but the apples will start to brown.
Granny Smith apples work best because they're tart and hold their shape well. Honeycrisp would be my second choice. Avoid softer apples like Red Delicious as they can get mushy.
You can use small forks or even just arrange everything in the cups without skewers. The picks just make it more fun to eat and easier for kids to handle, but they're not necessary.
