This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Famous Footwear for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine. I love the new beginning that Fall represents. The weather becomes cooler, leaves begin to change color and fall from trees and probably the biggest new beginning is that kids return to school. When kids start a new school year, it is a time of new beginnings for them as they get acclimated to a new teacher and new classmates. It is also a new beginning for moms, as we get back to the hustle and bustle of getting kids off to school, as well as the restoration of a more normal daily routine, whatever that might look like. As moms, we want our kids to start the school year off with confidence. So here are some easy ways to help build academic confidence through some free Fall worksheets and all around confidence that comes from know you look great and are comfortable in your own skin.
In our family no school year starts without picking up a few new outfits. This tradition dates back to when I was a kid. We never had a lot of money, but getting one or two new outfits and a new pair of shoes was always something that was in the budget. Recently, I took my girls out for some back to school shopping and they picked up some cute Fall outfits – dresses, sparkly leggings and colorful shirts. To tie it all together though, we needed some shoes. My favorite kind of shoe to transition into Fall with is a pair of boots or booties. My daughters share my passion for boots and booties and they actually try to wear them all summer as well.
Our favorite place to shop for shoes is at Famous Footwear. We love shopping there because we can find shoes for the entire family whether we are looking for athletic shoes, casual shoes or even a more dressy alternative. We find many of our favorite brands there at a great value. Plus their Instagram account showcases their latest styles.
It always amazes me how different my girls are. They chose totally different shoe styles from Famous Footwear. My younger daughter picked some Jellypop Playful Ankle Boots. They are biker inspired black boots with a rugged sole that can handle any terrain. My older daughter fell in love with some Rock & Candy Kids Rattlin Fringe Bootie. They are faux suede with a rounded toe, giving them a very fashionable look that can be dressed up or down.
These fringe boots are so versatile. They can be worn with a fun Fall dress or with a comfy pair of jeans. I think the fringe detail gives them a western look and the small heel in the back really reminds me of a pair of cowboy boots.
These boots pull on easily so my daughter can get dressed quickly on those hectic school mornings. My daughter says they are super comfy to wear.
The braided detail around the collar of the booties is one of those things that might slip your eye when you first spot them at Famous Footwear. But it is one of those details that you might not expect when you getting such a good value.
The black Jellypop boots my youngest picked are super stylish in a completely different way. These faux leather uppers have a strap and buckle detail that inspire a tough and sassy attitude.
With these new shoes, my youngest is ready to confidentially take on a new school year!
Since first grade is more rigorous than Kindergarten, I wanted her to carry that confidence into her academics as well. I created some Fall worksheets for her to use as she works on some basic skills. I also made a fun Fall themed memory game for us to play as a family.
We had so much fun with these Fall worksheets and memory game that I wanted to provide you with free copies as well. You can download them below and enjoy some Fall fun with your little one.
