Do you love spring activities for kids? So do we! Inspired by dot art books, where kids use bingo markers to make art, we decided to try something a bit different with this Tissue Paper Flower Art Activity. Instead of using markers, we scrunched up tissue paper to make art.

Decorating dot art paper with tissue paper gives it texture and depth. Kids also work on their fine motor skills as they do it! To make this fun project even easier, I’ve put together a free flower printable you can download at the end of this post.

    FAQs For Flower Art Printable

What Age Is Tissue Paper Art For?

These tissue paper flowers are perfect for kids ages 3 and up. Younger kids will enjoy the tactile experience and bright colors, while older children can get creative with more intricate designs and patterns.

But you know your child best. Always be sure to supervise your child while they are doing any activity.

What Can We Use To Make This Flower Craft If We Don't Have Tissue Paper?

If you don't happen to have tissue paper on hand, feel free to use the flower printable with circle stickers or dot markers. You can also mix in other materials like construction paper, pom-poms, or glitter to add more texture and variety to the flowers.

Tips For Making Tissue Paper Flowers

Tip 1: Cover your table with newspaper or an old tablecloth to prevent the glue from getting on it. This makes cleanup easier and keeps the art process stress-free.

Tip 2: Remind your kids that a little goes a long way when it comes to glue. Too much glue makes the tissue paper soggy and prone to tearing. Use small amounts to keep everything in place.

Tip 3: When it comes to decorating the flower, let your kids be creative. Whether they choose traditional flower colors or go wild with unexpected combinations, the goal is to have fun and express themselves.
