How does Back to School time work where you live? Here in our Northern California town, the kids get out early for the first few weeks while teachers perform assessments after school each day. It has been difficult to get into a routine with these earlier dismissals. The kids haven't really gotten into the homework routine so they come home every day ready to play. I have been trying to have different play and art experiences for them when they get home, and this Paper Towel Art for Kids was a winner! This post has been sponsored by Bounty, but all opinions are my own.

You wouldn't believe how easy it is to create beautiful eye catching paper towel art for kids! #QuickerPickerUpper #spon

    You will need:

    • Bounty paper towels
    • Washable markers
    • White paper
    • Tray
    • Spray bottle with water

The first step is to draw a design on the Bounty paper towel. With Bounty select a size, you can pick whatever size you want. I find the smallest size to be perfect for kids to color since it doesn't take too long to do. My kids did this in different ways. My twins colored the entire paper towel while my other daughter didn't cover every inch with her design. The results will be beautiful either way.

Get a tray and lay a piece of white paper on it. I found copy paper works well. Place the Bounty paper towel on top of the paper with the colored side down. Start spraying the water on top of the colored paper towel and spray until it is saturated. This was my daughters favorite step. Kids just love playing with water. My daughter even squirted me by accident. At least she said it was an accident...

After you have sprayed the paper towel, apply a clean sheet of Bounty on top and press down to make a transfer on the paper. Peel the two paper towel sheets off the paper to reveal your color transfer art. Place all of the paper towels and paper somewhere to dry. We happened to do this activity on a 105 degree day, so we just placed them outside for a little bit and they dried very quickly.

    Fun art for kids!

Once the activity is done, you may have some messy hands to contend with.

Simply wipe them with a dry or wet Bounty.

The really cool thing about paper towel art for kids is that if you look closely, you can see the patterns of the Bounty on the copy paper. It gives the art some texture and interest.

My kids considered the colored Bounty paper towels pieces of art as well. They remind me of a tie-dyed shirt.

When we finished the activity, we had lots of marker on our glass kitchen table. Bounty with Dawn to the rescue! Bounty provides me with the tools I need for cleaning, whether I have an art mess or a dinner mess. The best part is that one towel can clean my entire kitchen which totally speeds up my cleaning time, giving me more time to do the stuff that matters - like make art with my kids!

I am refreshing my cleaning routine this back to school season with NEW Bounty with Dawn. Bounty with Dawn is a multi-purpose cleaning towel that is activated by water and combines the power of Dawn with ultra durable Bounty. I have found that Bounty and Bounty with Dawn are necessary to keep my kitchen clean hence this dual paper towel holder. For spills and messes that need an absorbent paper towel, I can grab my Bounty, but for those stickier messes (often created by my kids) the new Bounty with Dawn is the way to go.

If you would like a chance to take home one of these cool limited edition dual paper towel holders with a Bounty paper towel roll and a NEW Bounty with Dawn roll, you are in luck. The good folks at Bounty will be giving them to the first 45 of you readers who leave a comment sharing how you are refreshing your routine to be more efficient this Back to School season. Be sure to let me know your email address so I can contact you. I am refreshing this season by cleaning as things get dirty. It's hard, but I have been using those bounty wipes for small spills and it's worked! I even was able to get out a stain in my shirt the other day. I would love this paper towel holder...my dad was recently house sitting and confused why we had 2 rolls on our table. lol.
