In the past I have shared 18 Fine Motor Activities for Preschoolers and I've been told it has been a great resource for parents and teachers. It got me to thinking about Gross Motor skills and all of the engaging activities we have done through the years to get kids active. Gross motor skills involve larger muscles of the body such as those in the arms, legs feet and chest. Walking, running, skipping, throwing and crawling are some examples of gross motor skills. They are important to a child's development, and these 12 Gross Motor Activities are designed to get kids moving and strengthening these skills.
