We made a yummy crescent roll recipe the other day that I just had to share with you. If you have been reading Mess for Less for any length of time, you may have noticed that I am obsessed with crescent rolls. Want proof? We have made Peach Pie Crescents, Turkey and Cheese Stuffed Crescents, Apple Pie Crescents and Strawberry Crescents, just to name a few. So it's only natural that I would see a can of Blackberry pie filling at the grocery store and think, "hey, I can put that in a crescent." I must say the results were a success, though it is pretty difficult to mess up a crescent.

    You will need:

    • Crescent rolls (8 count)
    • Can of blackberry pie filling
    • 1 cup confectioner's sugar
    • 2 tablespoons of water
    crescent roll ingredients

I don't know about you, but I love a recipe that as only 4 ingredients and takes about 15 minutes to create. Start by preheating your oven according to package instructions. Separate the crescent triangles.

Add about a tablespoon of the blackberry pie filling to the center of each triangle and roll up to make a crescent.

Bake according to package directions. We baked ours at 375 for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool. Now it's time to make your glaze. You will need one cup of confectioner's sugar mixed with two tablespoons of water. Mix until all the lumps are gone and then drizzle on your crescents. If you are a fan of blackberries you will want to try this crescent roll recipe. A warm roll with a hot cup of coffee is the perfect way to unwind.

    FAQs For Blackberry Crescent Rolls

Can I use a different type of berry?

Absolutely! Raspberries, blueberries, or chopped strawberries work well. Just keep the filling amount similar so the rolls don’t get too messy.

Do these need to be refrigerated?

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in the toaster oven for the best texture.

Can I make these ahead of time?

They’re best fresh, but you can prep them a few hours ahead and bake right before serving. That way, they stay warm and flaky.
