Preheat the air fryer to 300 degrees.
Add box of yellow cake mix, 2 eggs, and ½ cup of canola oil to a large bowl.
Add one teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Mix until combined. This is a very kid friendly recipe, so get those little ones in the kitchen mixing and baking.
Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed.
Line your air fryer with parchment paper. You can use normal parchment paper cut to size of your air fryer or pre-cut parchment paper designed to fit in air fryers.
Drop tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto the parchment paper a few inches apart. How many you will fit depends on the size of your air fryer.
Bake for 8 minutes in the air fryer or until the cookies start to turn golden brown on top.
Move the air fryer cookies on a baking rack to cool.
