It can be hard to know what to give those you don't know very well, but I find that a homemade gift like this one is always well received.
⭐Why This Recipe Works
- You just need a few ingredients to make this tasty recipe for Christmas bark!
- Makes a perfect homemade gift
- Salty and sweet flavor makes it a yummy treat
🥣Ingredient Notes
- Wilton white chocolate melts or white chocolate chips - If you opt for white chocolate chips, the best taste I've found are from Ghiardelli. They give the bark a nice creamy texture.
- Vegetable oil - Provides a glossy finish to the bark
- Mini pretzels - broken into pieces to add crunch
- Mini Reeses white chocolate peanut butter cups - If you can't find these you can use mini chocolate peanut butter cups.
- Red and green M&M candies - Add a burst of color
- Peanut butter - To melt and drizzle over the top
📋Step by Step Instructions
STEP 1: To make this white chocolate pretzel bark recipe, you will begin by cutting the Reese's White Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups in half.
STEP 2: Next, line a 15 x 11 baking sheet with wax paper or parchment paper. Set the tray aside.
STEP 3: Add the white chocolate candy melts and vegetable oil to a double boiler.
STEP 4: Melt the candy and oil over medium heat in a saucepan, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and stir.
STEP 5: Once the chocolate has melted, pour it onto the cookie sheet. Spread it out evenly with a rubber spatula.
STEP 6: Immediately sprinkle on the broken pretzel pieces, white chocolate peanut butter cups and the red and green M&Ms on top of the melted chocolate. The chocolate hardens quickly, so you will want to complete this step as fast as you can.
STEP 7: Chill the White Chocolate Pretzel Bark Recipe for 30 minutes to allow the bark to completely harden. When the candy bark has hardened, you can remove it from the refrigerator and set it aside.
STEP 8: Now it is time to melt the peanut butter for the topping. To do this, place the peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave it on HIGH for 20 seconds or until it is melted. Allow the melted peanut butter to cool and thicken for 5 minutes.
STEP 9: Using a spoon, drizzle the peanut butter on top of the candy bark. When done, chill the bark again for 30 minutes to help the peanut butter harden.
STEP 10: After that, your bark is ready for serving. All that is left to do is break it into pieces and ENJOY!
