How to make beef tomato pasta

This is such an easy pasta dish to make and it tastes like you spent all day cooking. Using canned tomatoes, makes this recipe a breeze. You don't have to worry about chopping up tomatoes or anything like that. The beef adds some protein to this dish, taking it from a side to a main course.

I used rotini pasta for this meal, but you can use whatever you happen to have on hand. Ziti or penne pasta also works well. Boil pasta in a large pot as directed on package and drain when done.

In a frying pan or skillet, cook ground beef on medium-high heat until browned. Let simmer and then drain off any excess fat. Add the pepper to the ground beef.

Add in three cans of stewed tomatoes to the ground beef. This will form your pasta sauce. Stir until thoroughly combined. Cook on medium heat until the mixture starts simmering. Turn off the heat.

Top with Parmesan cheese and serve. If you like your dishes with a little more spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
