⭐Why This Recipe Works
- Truffles are a rich treat, and chocolate chip cookie dough is a classic flavor. Combining the two creates a delicious dessert.
- Truffles are bite-sized treats that are great for portion control.
- Only two ingredients and so easy to make!
🥣Ingredient Notes
- Refrigerated cookie dough - make sure this is edible raw and does not need to be cooked.
- Milk chocolate bars - I used bars with almonds because I like the nutty flavor, but plain milk chocolate would be great as well.
📋Step by Step Instructions
STEP 1: Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Scoop out dough and form into balls. You should get around 24 balls (1 ¼ - 1 ½ inch each).
STEP 2: Place the cookie dough balls on the baking sheet.
STEP 3: Refrigerate cookie dough balls for 20 minutes or until they have firmed up.
STEP 4: Break the chocolate bar into smaller pieces, place in a microwave-safe bowl and melt it in the microwave on high for 60 seconds. Then stir and return to microwave for 10-second increments until the chocolate has melted.
STEP 5: Using a fork, roll and dip cookie balls into the melted chocolate and shake off any excess chocolate. Place the chocolate-covered balls on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
STEP 6: Refrigerate for 20 minutes until the chocolate has set.
STEP 7: If you wish, you can add a drizzle of melted chocolate to the top. You'll have to re-melt the chocolate to do this. If you do this, pop the truffles back into the refrigerator for another 15 minutes so the candy coating drizzle can harden.
