INSTANT POT RED BAKED POTATOES

You can make tender baked potatoes in the Instant Pot and serve them up as the perfect side dish. I love how these potatoes are so versatile. I topped mine with butter, but you can easily top them with cheese, sour cream, bacon, or chives. Yum!

These Instant Pot Potatoes cook in just 30 minutes and this recipe makes 12 red potatoes.

WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE RED BAKED POTATOES IN THE INSTANT POT?

  • Red potatoes; washed
  • 1 cup water
  • Instant Pot

HOW DO I MAKE INSTANT POT BAKED POTATOES?

Cooking potatoes in the Instant Pot is really quite simple. Pour one cup of water into the instant pot insert.

Wash red potatoes and add them to the steamer basket. Place the lid onto the Instant Pot.

Turn valve on lid to sealed position. Press the pressure cook or manual button and set the timer to 30 minutes. It will take about 10 minutes to come to pressure and then the potatoes need to be cooked for another 30 minutes. When the pot stops counting and beeps, release the pressure from the valve on the lid.

When the potatoes are ready, remove them using tongs and serve with any toppings you desire.

If you are not serving these right away, you can add more water and keep them on the keep warm setting. Just be aware that it does make the skin more moist.

  • 12 red potatoes; washed
