⭐Why This Peach Bread Recipe is Awesome

    • Made with juicy, ripe peaches
    • A nice twist from the traditional quick bread
    • Makes a great breakfast or snack, slathered with butter

    🥣 Ingredient Notes

    • Flour - All-purpose flour is fine for this recipe.
    • Baking soda and baking powder - Helps the bread to rise.
    • Cinnamon - Adds a warm flavor to the bread.
    • Sugar - Granulated white sugar.
    • Eggs - Help to hold the bread together and give the bread its structure.
    • Vegetable oil - If you don't have vegetable oil, you can use canola oil as a substitute.
    • Peaches - You can also use diced canned peaches that have been drained if fresh peaches are not in season or you can find them locally.
    • Powdered sugar - Used as the base for the glaze.
    • Milk - Combined with powdered sugar to make glaze.

📋How to make Peach Quick Bread

STEP 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Start by dicing your peaches into bite-size pieces.

STEP 2: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined.

    bowl with cinnamon and sugar.

STEP 3: In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the sugar, eggs, and vegetable oil. Add the wet mixture to the bowl with the dry ingredients and stir well until the batter forms. Then gently fold in diced peaches.

You can refrigerate any leftover peach loaf, though if your family is anything like mine, there won't be many leftovers. I hope you enjoy this easy peach bread recipe. It goes wonderfully with a cup of coffee as does this Crockpot Peach Dumpcake.

    👩🏻‍🍳Expert Tips

Tip 1: I left the skin on the peach for easy preparation, but you can peel or blanch if desired.

Tip 2: Let the peach quick bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes then remove it and place it on a wire rack to cool completely. This helps keep the bread from falling apart.

    🤷🏻‍♀️Recipe FAQs

    How do you peel peaches?

I just work with a sharp paring knife, carefully removing the skin. If you think you'd rather not do that, you can always peel peaches easily by boiling them. Here is a good tutorial on how to peel peaches.

How do I know if peaches are ripe enough?

My general rule of thumb involves picking up a peach and squeezing it. If the peach has no give, it will not work in this recipe. If your fingers sink into the peach a bit, the peach is ripe enough for this recipe.

    Can I freeze peach bread?

Yes, simply wrap in saran wrap and place in a zip top bag. You can freeze the bread for up to 3 months. Thaw it overnight in the refrigerator.
