EASY OWL RICE CAKES

This simple owl snack for kids could not be cuter. They are the perfect snack if your child is studying owls or just loves the cute critters. If your child is allergic to peanut butter, you can use any other nut butter. These would eve be cute if made with nutella.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO MAKE OWL RICE CAKES?

HOW TO MAKE RICE CAKES THAT LOOK LIKE OWLS

• Peanut Butter
• Rice Cake
• Blueberries
• Banana Slices
• Strawberries

As you can see it just takes a few ingredients which you may already have at home to make these cute animal rice cakes.

My kids like to help make these since they are so quick and simple. First, cover the rice cakes in peanut butter.

Next, slice a banana and place 2 slices on the rice cake as eyes.

Place 3 slices of bananas on the bottom of the rice cake as chest feathers. You will want the middle banana to lay slightly on top of the other two.

Now this little guy is ready to fly away! Okay, he actually won’t be flying away. He’ll be getting eaten, but that sounds a lot sadder.

DO YOUR KIDS LOVE COOKING?

I have long been a proponent of cooking with kids. There are so many things kids learn helping out in the kitchen. Math, reading, chemistry, cooperation and more are used while following a recipe.

Raddish is a monthly subscription box for kids that is a cooking club, culinary lesson, and mealtime solution all-in-one. Young children get to work with an adult, while older kids and teens independently indulge their culinary curiosity! And it’s perfect for picky eaters — kids who cook, eat!

A new kit is delivered to your doorstep every month!

Each kit features a new culinary theme! You’ll also get a shopping list emailed to you prior to delivery so you will be ready to cook. These kits are a great way for kids to develop new cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen while the entire family builds memories together. Find out more here.
