    ⭐Why This Recipe Works

    • A healthy and delicious gluten-free breakfast option
    • The high fiber content in these whole grain pancakes can help keep you fuller longer
    • Lower in carbs than traditional pancakes

    🥣Ingredient Notes

    • Bananas - You will want to use ripe bananas
    • Oats - We used rolled oats to make the flour
    • Egg - Acts as a binder and helps the pancakes to be fluffy
    • Almond milk - You can use oat milk or dairy milk if you prefer
    • Baking Powder - Ensures the pancakes turn out light and fluffy
    • Salt - Helps to balance the sweetness
    • Chia seeds - Adds fiber to the pancakes

STEP 3: Cover the blender and mix until the ingredients have formed a smooth batter. Be sure there are no lumps in the batter, as this will improve the texture of your pancakes.

STEP 4: Spray a griddle or skillet with cooking spray. Heat the griddle over medium heat and pour a ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.

STEP 5: Let the pancakes cook for a few minutes until bubbles form on the surface.

Top oat flour pancakes with butter if you'd like. You can also top these pancakes with chopped nuts (we used pecans) and sliced fruit (we used fresh berries). Then drizzle on maple syrup and serve.

    👩🏻‍🍳Expert Tips

Tip 1: Get creative with your pancake toppings. You can dust the pancakes with powdered sugar or add a homemade fruit compote.

Tip 2: You can add a handful of chocolate chips to the batter. As the pancakes cook, the chocolate chips will melt slightly, which will make for some deliciously gooey pancakes.

    🤷🏻‍♀️Recipe FAQs

You can refrigerate in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can freeze these in a zip-top bag with the layers separated by wax paper for up to one month in the freezer.

You can add slices of fresh strawberries or blueberries to the batter. This will provide a burst of flavor and a pop of color to the pancakes.
