CAN KIDS MAKE THESE PIZZA BAGELS?

Absolutely! With proper adult supervision, kids can easily make these 4 ingredient pizza bagels. How much they can do depends on their age. A younger child can certainly spoon on the sauce and sprinkle on the cheese, while an older child can make the whole thing from start to finish.

HOW TO MAKE PIZZA BAGELS

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. To make a pizza bagel, start out by cutting a bagel in half. My daughter used a butter knife just to be safe.

Spoon on some tomato sauce. How much sauce will depend on how saucy you like your pizza. We like to cover ours with a thick layer of sauce.

Once your bagel is sufficiently sauced, it is time to sprinkle on some shredded mozzarella cheese.

Next, add on the pepperoni. I find that 3 slices per bagel half work well. If your kids find pepperoni too spicy, feel free to leave it off. You can also get creative here. Maybe your kids like peppers or onions or olives. Whatever toppings they like on pizza, you can add to a pizza bagel.

Now they are ready to be baked. Pizza bagels are so easy to make because you don’t need to heat up your entire oven. These are simple to make in a toaster oven.

In a 375 degree toaster over, bake the pizza bagels for 10 minutes, or until the cheese gets gooey and the pepperoni starts to get crisp.

DO YOUR KIDS LOVE COOKING?

I have long been a proponent of cooking with kids. There are so many things kids learn helping out in the kitchen. Math, reading, chemistry, cooperation and more are used while following a recipe.

Raddish is a monthly subscription box for kids that is a cooking club, culinary lesson, and mealtime solution all-in-one. Young children get to work with an adult, while older kids and teens independently indulge their culinary curiosity! And it’s perfect for picky eaters — kids who cook, eat!

A new kit is delivered to your doorstep every month!

Each kit features a new culinary theme! You’ll also get a shopping list emailed to you prior to delivery so you will be ready to cook. These kits are a great way for kids to develop new cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen while the entire family builds memories together. Find out more here.
