- Rice Krispies Cereal - The basis of this recipe. This recipe uses 6 cups.
- Marshmallows - You can use mini marshmallows or regular-sized.
- Butter - I used salted butter in this recipe.
- Red, White and Blue M&Ms - I have only found these in stores in the summer, but can you can order them anytime online.

📋How to Make 4th of July Rice Krispie Treats
STEP 1: Melt the butter in a large saucepan or large pot on low heat.
STEP 2: When the butter has melted, add in the marshmallows.
STEP 3: Stir the marshmallows into the butter until they have melted and combined with the butter.
STEP 4: Turn off the stove and add the Rice Krispies to the saucepan. Mix until all the Rice Krispies are coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.

STEP 5: Gently fold most the red, white and blue M&M’s into the Rice Krispie mix. Save some for the top.

STEP 6: Press the mixture into a 13x9 pan or baking dish the so it forms an even layer.

STEP 7: Press some M&Ms into the top of the Rice Krispies in the pan.

STEP 8: Let the rice crispy treats stand for 15 to 30 minutes before eating.
