Why you'll love this air fryer donut recipe
- Air fryer doughnuts are better for you than fried donuts
- Kids love them!
- As good as donuts you'd get from your favorite donut shop

Ingredients
- biscuit dough (like Pillsbury Grands)
- sugar
- cinnamon
- butter
- powdered sugar (optional for powdered sugar donuts)

How to make air fryer cinnamon sugar donuts

Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees.
Remove the biscuits from the tube and separate them.

Cut the center out of each biscuit using a 1 inch circular cookie cutter. Set aside the holes that have been cut out. If you don't have a round cookie cutter, you can also use a bottle cap that is about 1 inch wide.

Spray the tray of the air fryer with air fryer safe cooking spray (like this coconut oil spray) and place the donuts on the tray.

Air fry the doughnuts for 5 minutes until they are golden brown. Remove the donuts from the air fryer and place on a plate.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.

Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl.
Brush the tops and bottoms of the doughnuts with the melted butter, using a pastry brush.

Dip the butter covered donut into the bowl with cinnamon sugar mixture, until it is completely covered.

Cinnamon sugar air fryer donuts are best served warm.
If you want powdered sugar covered donuts, follow the same steps, but dip in a bowl of confectioner's sugar.

At this point, you can also make donut holes. Remember the insides of the biscuits you set aside? Roll them into balls and place them in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 350 degrees. Follow the directions above to coat them with sugar.

Enjoy the fresh, warm taste of these air fryer doughnuts with your favorite toppings.
