- Tomato Slices - To ensure optimal taste and juiciness, choose ripe tomatoes.

📋How to Make Air Fryer Chicken Caprese
STEP 1. Pre-heat air fryer to 390 degrees.
STEP 2: Lightly spray both sides of the chicken breasts with cooking spray and season with salt and pepper.

STEP 3: Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer for 20 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Flip the chicken halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
STEP 4: Remove the chicken from the air fryer.

STEP 5: Top the chicken with a slice of mozzarella cheese and a tomato slice.

STEP 6: Place the chicken back in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes or until the tomato has toasted.

STEP 7: Remove from air fryer and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
STEP 8: Garnish with fresh basil. Serve & enjoy.

👩🏻🍳Expert Tips
Tip 1: Make sure the chicken breasts are not overcrowded in the air fryer. You want to give the chicken enough space to cook and maintain its crispness.
Tip 2: After you remove the chicken from the air fryer, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This gives the juices a chance to redistribute and keeps the chicken from being too dry.
🤷🏻♀️Recipe FAQs
What are some ways I can serve Air Fryer Caprese Chicken?
You can serve this paired with a side salad, or even in a sandwich.
What kind of mozzarella can you use in this dish?
You can use sliced mozzarella or fresh mozzarella that you slice yourself.
How to store Air Fryer Chicken Caprese?
Because of the tomato, this doesn't really store that well. You can always make the chicken ahead of time and then add the tomato and mozzarella and reheat the chicken, but I don't recommend this as it would dry out the chicken.
