Why this recipe is awesome
My favorite thing about this recipe is how easy it is to make. It is literally so easy that you can have small children help you make it. My second favorite thing about this recipe, is the fact that it only uses four ingredients. And I'm willing to bet you already have a lot of these ingredients at home already. This is a great way to get kids started cooking in the kitchen or to give older kids a little more independence in making their own snack. Desserts with crescent rolls couldn't be easier.
Ingredients
My daughter loves to help me cook in the kitchen. She started helping me with cooking when she turned 2 and now, she is very good at stirring, adding ingredients and even cracking eggs. Today’s recipe for peanut butter chocolate chips crescents is super easy, and even very young children should be able to help with this.
How do you make peanut butter and chocolate chip crescents
Begin by unrolling crescent rolls and spreading peanut butter over each. Older kids can use a butter knife to do this. For younger kids, I would offer the backside of a spoon to spread the peanut butter.
Now comes the part my kids love - adding the chocolate chips! Of course I think they love this step so much because they also eat some chocolate chips along the way.
Now it's time to roll up the crescent You want to have kids be sure to do this slowly to try to keep as many chocolate chips inside the crescent roll as possible. Starting with the fat end of the crescent, and roll up each triangle.
Place on a greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 11-13 minutes. This is the perfect recipe to make in the toaster oven. Click to buy the toaster oven I use.
Another thing that makes this recipe so popular with kids is the fact that it is ready in under 15 Minutes. Now if you have kids, you know they are not known for their patience. This crescent roll recipe will be ready before they know it.
When they come out of the oven, drizzle them with chocolate syrup and enjoy after giving them a few minutes to cool.
Who wouldn't love these chocolate filled crescents?

Make sure to seal these well after you roll them. Sometimes, even despite your best attempts, there will be some filling that leaks out. Lining your pan with parchment paper can be helpful.
Yes, you can! Cook them in an air fryer that has been preheated to 300 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Do your kids love cooking
I have long been a proponent of cooking with kids. There are so many things kids learn helping out in the kitchen. Math, reading, chemistry and cooperation and more are used while following a recipe.
