📋How to Make Pepperoni Mozzarella Crisps
STEP 2: Slice the cheese slices into four squares and place on the lined pan. Make sure to leave a few inches of space between the mozzarella slices on the baking sheet, so they can crisp up without sticking together.
STEP 3: Top each cheese slice with a slice of pepperoni.
STEP 4: Bake for 8-10 minutes. Be sure to keep an eye on the crisps as they cook, to make sure they don't burn.
STEP 5: Remove from oven and lift parchment paper and place on a cooling rack. Allow the crisps to cool for a few minutes before serving.
Tip 1: You can use pepperoni pizza crisps as a topping for salads, soups, and more for added flavor and crisp.
Tip 2: You can swap out the pepperoni for salami if you prefer a little less spice. You could also try using a different type of sliced cheese, like cheddar.
Tip 3: Add various herbs or spices to give the crisps a unique flavor. Try to sprinkle a bit of garlic powder, Italian seasoning, or oregano on top before baking. If you are looking to add some spice, try some pepper flakes.
Can I use shredded mozzarella cheese?
Shredded mozzarella will spread too much and not produce the square shape that the cheese slices do.
