    Homemade Cereal Bars

I am often inspired by the flavors of my favorite breakfast cereals. One of my favorite things to do is use those cereals to make homemade cereal bars. They are fun snack options that can be made using items already in your pantry. Check out these fun cereal bar ideas:

Ingredients For Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cake Mix Cookies

    • Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cake Mix: This is what makes this recipe so easy. It has the irresistible flavor of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.
    • Eggs: These hold everything together and make the cookies soft.
    • Vegetable Oil: Adds moisture for tender, chewy cookies.

How to Make Cake Mix Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cookies

To make these cookies with cinnamon flavor, you'll want to preheat your oven to 350°F. Then combine the cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Give this a good stir until the dough is well combined and there’s no dry mix left.

Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop out cookie dough balls and place them on a baking baking sheet covered in parchment paper. Parchment makes clean-up a breeze! You'll want to place the cookies 1-2 inches apart on the cookie sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. When you take them out of the oven, let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tips for Making Cake Mix Cookies

Tip 1: To help the cookies bake uniformly, use a cookie scoop or a tablespoon. This will make sure all these treats are similar in size.

Tip 2: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet before moving them to a rack. This helps them set and prevents them from breaking.

Tip 3: Do not let the cookies overbake. They should be slightly golden brown around the edges and soft in the center.

Tip 4: If you want to add frostings to this recipe, vanilla frosting with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon works well.

Tip 5: If you don't have parchment paper you can grease the baking sheet with cooking spray or use a silicone baking mat.

FAQs For Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cookies

How Do I Store Cake Mix Cookies?

To store these Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cake Mix Cookies, make sure they are totally cooled before placing them in an airtight container. You can store them this way at room temperature for up to a week. If the weather is warmer, you'll want to layer them between parchment paper to prevent sticking.

You can also store these in the refrigerator for up to one week or freeze them for up to three months. When ready to enjoy frozen cookies, thaw them at room temperature or warm them up in the oven for a few minutes for a freshly baked taste.

What Can I Add To Cinnamon Cake Mix Cookies?

You can add many ingredients to these cookies for additional flavor and texture. Chocolate chips or chunks give the cookies a rich flavor. You can also add chopped nuts such as pecans, walnuts, or almonds for a bit of crunch.

Crushed Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal gives the cookies more texture and an extra bit of cinnamon sugar. Experimenting with additions can help you create personalized batches of cookies that are exactly how you like them!

Recipes to Make With Cinnamon Sugar

Cinnamon sugar is like a magic ingredient! Sprinkle it on buttered toast for a yummy breakfast, or swirl it in homemade cinnamon rolls for an extra flavor kick. You can also use it to jazz up muffins, donuts, or baked apples for a tasty dessert.

    Supplies For Cake Mix Cookies

If you're making cake mix cookies like these or Valentine's Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies, you'll need a mixing bowl to combine the ingredients and a sturdy spatula or spoon to mix the dough. I love using a cookie scoop to portion the dough perfectly.

To make cleanup easy, line the baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. These tools can be easily found on Amazon and delivered right to your doorstep.
