Strawberry Dump Cake
Dump cakes are perfect for when you are short on time but still want to serve a warm and delicious dessert. One of the things that makes them so popular is that they require very little effort.
In fact, they are called dump cakes because you literally dump the ingredients into a pan, give them a quick stir, and pop them in the oven.
There is no special knowledge or complicated techniques involved, making a dump cake the perfect recipe for a busy weeknight or when you have unexpected guests. This is a great recipe to try if you are an inexperienced baker, as it is practically fool-proof.

How to Make Strawberry Dump Cake With Cream Cheese
Are you ready to make this easy dump cake? You'll want to preheat your oven so it can warm while you are getting everything ready.
Use a hand mixer like this one to cream together the sugar and cream cheese. Coat a 9x13 baking dish like this one with cooking spray. Then, you will spread some sweet strawberry pie filling on the bottom of the baking dish.
Remember that cream cheese and sugar mixture? You will be adding spoonfuls of it onto the strawberry filling. Cover everything with yellow cake mix and drizzle melted butter over that. Now it's time to bake. Hey, I told you this was easy!

After the strawberry cheesecake dump cake is done, cut up some fresh strawberries and add them to the top of the cake as garnish.

Tips for Making Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake
Tip 1: Use softened cream cheese in this recipe. It will blend more smoothly when mixed with the sugar. Simply remove it from the refrigerator a little before making the recipe to let it soften.
Tip 2: When this dump cake comes out of the oven, wait for 15 minutes before eating. That strawberry pie filling will be hot, so let it cool down before digging in!
Tip 3: When you add the cake mix to the dump cake, be sure to spread it evenly over strawberry filling using a spatula.
Tip 4: Warm strawberry dump cake is great on its own, but even better when served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!

Will Other Pie Filling Work In This Recipe?
If you want to make this recipe but can't find strawberry pie filling at your local grocery store, there are other alternatives that will work. One option is to purchase the filling on Amazon or another online retailer.
Another option is to use a different filling. This basic recipe works with cherry, blueberry, or even peach pie filling. Simply substitute the filling and follow the recipe as written.
Can I Make Dump Cake In The Crock Pot?
You can certainly make strawberry dump cake in a slow cooker. Follow the recipe as directed, but make sure to spray the crock pot with cooking spray before adding the fruit filling. This will help when it comes to serving the cake and cleaning up the crock pot.
Cook on the high setting for 3-4 hours or until the edges have set and the cake topping has been browned. If you are looking for crock pot dumpcakes, you'll love this Crockpot Peach Dumpcake.
How Do You Store Strawberry Dump Cake?
Before you store leftovers of this dumpcake, you will want to be sure they have cooled. If you store cake that is still warm, condensation will develop, and the cake will become soggy.
Cover your baking dish with plastic wrap or foil. Some baking dishes, like this one, come with a handy cover! Store these leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
I think Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake tastes best warm, so when you are ready to serve this again, you can simply reheat refrigerated leftovers in the microwave.
