I make a ton of casseroles and I wanted to share some of my must have items with you. This 2 in 1 casserole dish can be used with disposable trays which make clean up a breeze. You can also stack them when you are transporting multiple dishes.

Wendy says
We make this every year INSTEAD of the turkey. Then we also make a bunch of other side dishes and desserts because the oven is available. We also make it at the end of Summer when we are looking forward to the Fall…and we share with our neighbors. They have been known to hint around in September.

Sounds like you work for Country Crock. You seem to promote it through your presentation.
Vicky @ Mess For Less says
Hi Iylu, I do not work for Country Crock, but they did sponsor the post as I disclosed at the top of this page. I try to be very transparent when I write a sponsored post.

Hi, I'm so glad I found this recipe. My Dad is in the hospital and our family couldn't imagine celebrating the holiday without him so my son and I were brainstorming on what we could bring to the hospital that would be easy with little cleanup and would feed our entire family. We didn't want to deal with numerous bowls / dishes etc. While searching I came across your post on pinterest. This looks amazing and I know my Dad would love this. I can't wait to try it !!! Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving !!!

I made this for our monthly pot luck and it was a hit! It's so nice having a self contained meal to present. I bought a Costco chicken and deconstructed it along with a Publix refrigerated mashed potatoes and jarred gravy…easy peasy.

I am making this today – I can’t wait!

Hope you enjoy it Helen!

Tatar tots instead of making mashed potatoes.
Vicky says
That is a great idea Kim! I will have to try that the next time I make this.
Anita Worstine says

Sylvia says
Do You prepare the stuffing First? Or do you add straight from box?
Vicky says
Yes, you prepare the stuffing first. Hope you enjoy it!
Purpleknits says
I love this, I did not have potatoes so I used tater tots & can I just say yum!
Vicky says
Now that is genius! I will certainly try that variation. Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi Vicky! This looks so good! Can you tell me what size casserole dish you use for this recipe? I may want to make it this Thanksgiving, but need to know how many times I’ll need to double the ingredients in order to feed the crowd coming. Thanks in advance!
Vicky says
I would probably let the blueberries thaw some so you weren’t getting a lot of extra water in the recipe. The recipes is a basic muffin recipe so I think it would also be good with chocolate chips as well. I have never tried that though but it sounds yummy. We recently made these banana muffins with chocolate chips that the kids might enjoy https://www.messforless.net/banana-muffins-with-chocolate-chips
Vicky says
I used a 9×13 casserole dish. Happy Thanksgiving!
Val says
I am going to make this as our Thanksgiving dinner along with some sides, rolls and dessert. Thank you.
Vicky says
Hope you love it as much as we do Val. Happy Thanksgiving!
Val says
Thanks Vicky. It was delicious. I used already-made tubs of mashed potatoes from the store to make things easier. I sauteed onion and celery to add into the stuffing that I made in the microwave. I cooked a split turkey breast in crockpot the day beforehand to use in this recipe. I made a large dish and then made a smaller dish minus the turkey for my daughter. We had corn, green beans, sweet potatoes and rolls with this, and pie for dessert. The meal was very filling and the whole family loved it.
Stefanie says
Looks yummy could you use can cranberry sauce instead? Maybe just add it after its baked? Thanks
Vicky says
I haven’t tried that Stefanie, but I don’t see why that wouldn’t work.
Stefanie says
Ok thanks , trying it tonight 🙂

I am not able to print the recipe for the Turkey dinner casserole…Is their a problem with printing?
Vicky says
Hi Gail. There is a print option at the bottom of the page where the recipe is listed that will print it out on one page. Hope this helps.
Wow says
Wow. You really need to rethink the print option…24 pages…
Vicky says
Sorry to hear that. There is a print option at the bottom of the page where the recipe is listed that will print it out on one page. Hope that helps.
Moira Anderson says
Thanks for the great idea. How does this recipe hold up in the freezer? Making a turkey dinner for just my husband and myself means a LOT of Turkey leftovers.
Vicky says
Hi Moria, Thanks for stopping by. I have never tried freezing it before so I am not sure how it would hold up. My hunch is it would be fine. If you try it, I would love to hear how it works out. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
Angelica says
no where did I see how many this casserole serves. If some one knows, please let me know. Thanks.
Vicky says
6-8 depending on the portion size.

I make a similar version of this every year with leftovers that I call Thanksgiving Shepard’s Pie. I start with a layer of dressing, next is left over turkey topped with gravy, then leftover veggies and lastly, mashed potatoes. After it’s heated through, I add some shredded sharp cheddar to the top and put back in oven until cheese melts. It’s almost better than Thanksgiving dinner!
