How To Make Thanksgiving Dinner Casserole
Prepare a box of stuffing according to the package directions. Prepare mashed potatoes.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 casserole dish. I love this set from Pyrex. Grease the casserole dish using butter or margarine spread around the pan with your fingers.
Add the mashed potatoes to the casserole dish and spread them out to form an even layer.
Spread ⅓ cup of gravy over the mashed potatoes.
Add the chopped turkey to the casserole along with salt and pepper. Spoon another ⅓ cup of gravy over the turkey.
Add the stuffing on top of the turkey layer and press it down to make an even layer.
Top with the last ⅓ cup of gravy and ½ cup of dried cranberries. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
This Turkey and Stuffing casserole is so delicious and each bite feels like a taste of Thanksgiving. It is also a great way to serve up Thanksgiving leftovers.

Moira Anderson
Thanks for the great idea. How does this recipe hold up in the freezer? Making a turkey dinner for just my husband and myself means a LOT of Turkey leftovers.
Vicky
Hi Moria, Thanks for stopping by. I have never tried freezing it before so I am not sure how it would hold up. My hunch is it would be fine. If you try it, I would love to hear how it works out. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Wow
Wow. You really need to rethink the print option...24 pages...
Vicky
Sorry to hear that. There is a print option at the bottom of the page where the recipe is listed that will print it out on one page. Hope that helps.
Stefanie
Looks yummy could you use can cranberry sauce instead? Maybe just add it after its baked? Thanks
Vicky
I haven't tried that Stefanie, but I don't see why that wouldn't work.
Stefanie
Ok thanks , trying it tonight 🙂
Gail

Vicky

Val
I am going to make this as our Thanksgiving dinner along with some sides, rolls and dessert. Thank you.
Vicky
Hope you love it as much as we do Val. Happy Thanksgiving!
Val
Thanks Vicky. It was delicious. I used already-made tubs of mashed potatoes from the store to make things easier. I sauteed onion and celery to add into the stuffing that I made in the microwave. I cooked a split turkey breast in crockpot the day beforehand to use in this recipe. I made a large dish and then made a smaller dish minus the turkey for my daughter. We had corn, green beans, sweet potatoes and rolls with this, and pie for dessert. The meal was very filling and the whole family loved it.
Amanda
Hi Vicky! This looks so good! Can you tell me what size casserole dish you use for this recipe? I may want to make it this Thanksgiving, but need to know how many times I'll need to double the ingredients in order to feed the crowd coming. Thanks in advance!
Vicky
I would probably let the blueberries thaw some so you weren't getting a lot of extra water in the recipe. The recipes is a basic muffin recipe so I think it would also be good with chocolate chips as well. I have never tried that though but it sounds yummy. We recently made these banana muffins with chocolate chips that the kids might enjoy https://www.messforless.net/banana-muffins-with-chocolate-chips
Vicky
I used a 9x13 casserole dish. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sylvia
Do You prepare the stuffing First? Or do you add straight from box?
Vicky
Yes, you prepare the stuffing first. Hope you enjoy it!

Vicky
