Cheesy Taco Cups with Guacamole
To make these cheesy mini taco cups with guacamole, you will start by creating cheese cups to hold your tasty taco fillings. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or use a silicone mat and scoop tablespoons of shredded cheese onto the parchment paper, leaving a few inches between each scoop. I like to use a mix of cheddar and jack shredded cheese, but just cheddar works well too.
Place the cookie sheet in the oven and bake for 6-7 minutes or until the edges of the cheese have turned brown.
While the cheese is melting, spray the bottom part of a mini muffin tin with cooking spray.
After the cheese has melted, remove it from the oven and use a spatula to remove it from the parchment paper. Drape each circle of melted cheese over the bottom of a muffin tin. The cheese will be hot, so be careful. As the cheese cools, it will form a cup.
Heat olive oil in a large pan and brown the chopped onions and garlic. Then add the ground beef, and break it up into crumbles while it cooks.
Now it's time to add some real flavor to the taco meat with some shakes of TABASCO® Sauce.
These Cheesy Taco Cups with Guacamole are not complete until we make some delicious guacamole to scoop on top. Now, if you're going to be making guacamole, you want to be sure to use Avocados from Mexico, which are healthy, delicious, and always in season.
I'm sure you have a favorite guacamole recipe, but I'll share mine with you because I think it's pretty delicious. It may look a little different than yours, but as long as you start with Avocados From Mexico, you'll end up with a yummy guacamole.
Scoop the Avocados From Mexico into a bowl and mash them with a fork. Add the diced tomatoes, onions, garlic, and lime to the bowl.
Mix to create the guacamole. This guacamole recipe is very versatile. It can top these taco cups but is wonderful as a dip for chips. I often whip up a batch of this guacamole recipe and use it as a topping for roasted chicken.
Now, it is time to assemble the cheese cups. Scoop some of the TABASCO® Sauce-seasoned ground beef into the cups and top with salsa.
Lastly, top the cheesy taco cups with a bit of that delicious guacamole made with Avocados from Mexico. Feel free to add any of your favorite taco toppings.
I found some cute football-themed picks and placed them in the cheesy taco cups with guacamole to add a festive touch. I like to serve TABASCO® Sauce with the taco cups since some of my friends like their food with an extra kick.
These taco cups are a unique and tasty appetizer to serve at your big game party. Your guests can savor winning flavors with these delicious bites!
Tips For Making Taco Cups
Tip 1: These are best eaten immediately after they are made. If you try to warm them up afterward, the cheese cups will melt.
Tip 2: Watch the cheese as it melts. Remove it from the oven as soon as the edges start to brown to avoid burning.
Tip 3: If you don’t have a mini muffin tin, you can use an upside-down regular muffin tin, although the cheese cups will be larger.
How Do I Store Keto Taco Cups?
For the best experience, these treats are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven. Attempting to reheat them afterward may cause the cheese cups to lose their shape as they melt.
What Can I Serve With Taco Cups?
Taco cups can be served as an appetizer or a meal. For a complete meal, pair them with a side salad or rice. If you're watching your carb intake, opt for a low-carb side dish. The versatility of taco cups allows you to get creative.
