These Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies are our favorite picnic dessert. Why? Well, most importantly, they are amazing! Seriously, one of the best chocolate chip cookie recipes I have ever tasted.
But equally important, they are easy to transport and just grab and go, which in my book makes them perfect picnic food. After your picnic, check out this Maple Snickerdoodles Cookie Recipe, our Brown Butter Heath Bar Cookies and this Skillet Chocolate Chip Cookie. Yum!

This is the third month that I am participating in the Kids' Kitchen Monthly Blog Hop. Easy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Not only are these easy chocolate chip cookies a kid favorite, but they are great to make with kids as well. My daughter loved helping make kids recipes - with all the steps from pouring to measuring, scooping and mixing. She got a big kick out of turning on the mixer. Please supervise children while cooking.

After the batter was mixed, we dropped spoonfuls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet.

The key to getting these cookies to be incredibly chewy is to take them out 1-2 minutes before you normally would. Let them cool on a wire rack.

My favorite thing about these easy chocolate chip cookies are the fact that they stay soft. They are not just soft right after they come out of the oven, but remain soft even days later. Be sure to also check out our Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies.

These travel well in a plastic container, but I have to tell you they are absolute perfection when they are fresh out of the oven and still a little warm. Oh my goodness!
You can play with this recipe a bit and add nuts or raisins. But when you want to make easy chocolate chip cookies, this is your new go-to recipe.
